Birchwood Behavioral Health is a unique mental health facility located in South Anchorage, which provides trauma-focused counseling services to Alaskan children and families in need. Its mission is to bring hope and healing to people by restoring wholeness in a therapeutic environment. It was first established back in 1946 and has gone through a number of big changes, building an amazing legacy.
We created a totally new brand, based on the beautiful birch woods surrounding the facility (from which the client took its name). This created a clean, modern, and thoroughly Alaskan look with professional and calming blues and greens. The website we created is aimed at providing the Alaska’s healthcare professionals with the information they need to make referrals while capturing the attention of parents and teens looking for help and resources. We used modern design, including parallax coding, to introduce depth and movement to the new Home page.
The results have been awesome. Birchwood Behavioral Health saw a 43% increase in website traffic in the first three months following the website launch. On top of that, their bounce rate dropped by 14% and has stayed consistently at 38%. The average read time also rose by 15.4%.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also won an AMA Pinnacle award for our amazing logo!
