Mat-Su Resort Increased Online Conversions by 42%The Client: Mat-Su Resort was purchased and remodeled with a whole new image. Unfortunately, they still had to fight the bad reputation the name developed from previous owners. They needed a website that was very image-centric to show visitors that the Mat-Su Resort was not the same place they remembered. With the resort having so many sections, they wanted each one to feel completely separate, but easy to navigate from one to another. The Strategy: We split the menu into 4 categories, allowing the site to have visual navigation opportunities for each section. This helped push the imagery of the new renovation and image that Mat-Su wanted to express. Aside from the navigation, we wanted to keep things simple and clean. The back-end of the site is completely modular and user-friendly, allowing the staff to be able to easily access the site and make changes to images, text, links, and more, even on the section pages. The Results: The site boasts an average bounce rate of only 32.27% with over 9,100 visitors in the last 90 days, with a high rate of online reservations and conversions to visitors. With an organic search ranking of 3rd for “Alaskan Resorts”, and in the top 3 of 8 other keywords over half the visitors are arriving to the site from organic search results. Mat-Su Resort has reported to us that conversions have increased with online sales on the new website by over 42% versus the previous booking system. The clients are extremely happy with the user experience, functionality and visual elements of the website design.
